Junior Kindergarten

These maturing learners have completed the 4s class and benefit by having more time and dedicated assistance in a small and nurturing learning environment, before they enter Kindergarten. These older 4-year-olds or 5-year-olds are ready to engage socially and academically with others and their teacher as they participate in early Kindergarten skills. Fun, creativity and faith are woven into days filled with writing, pre-reading and math skills. Daily routines of guided free play, circle time and learning centers help grow attention spans and independence. A love for learning and Jesus is fostered in a whole-child learning environment.

Directing Kingdom Kids Preschool is an absolute dream come true! What could be better than working with some of the most passionate, creative and driven early childhood educators as we meet the developmental and educational needs of the children within our care? Each interaction I have with the children, their caregivers or our staff fills my heart with joy. Building a program where children thrive as they play, discover, create and learn has been such a fulfilling experience. Watching the hand of God work in and through our preschool community is a blessing beyond measure. I can truly say I love my life’s work and thank the Lord for calling me into it

Crystal

Junior K Teacher
16+ years exp.

Ms. Crystal has been a certified teacher since 1997. She's had years of teaching experience in one capacity or another, including volunteering in her kid's schools and at church. She taught Kindergarten and First Grade for ten years in the Lake Washington School District. Then she stayed home with her own kids for about the same length of time, before going back as a substitute. A couple years after moving down from Kirkland, Crystal was honored to be asked to be the lead Pre-K Teacher for a private Christian preschool in the Black Diamond area. She then went on to start the Junior Kindergarten class. Ms. Crystal is thrilled to now be at KKP, continuing to use her skills as a Junior Kindergarten Teacher.

I absolutely love teaching children this age! I work hard to create a fun, engaging and theme based classroom where each student can thrive and explore their environment. I cherish seeing a child's eyes light up when they experience and understand something new. I am blessed to have the privilege of helping each of my students to build the foundation for a lifetime love of learning.

Amber

Pathfinder Assistant Teacher-PreK

My name is Amber. I am blessed to have the opportunity to work with the staff and children at Kingdom Kids. I found it a blessing being a nanny as well as getting to work with the young minds of Cascade Christian's Early Learning Center. I have volunteered in children's church and nursery ministry for around 7 years in my local church. As a mother, God has called me to teach my children about him and it is such a blessing to be able to help teach other children about the Lord.

I love being in the classroom with children. From volunteering in my own children’s classrooms to teaching preschool, I make it a goal to love on and go out of my way to help each child succeed. Every child is unique and wonderfully themselves. I thoroughly enjoy learning who each child is, what makes them unique and finding ways to help them flourish in their own beautiful way.

Hartley

Explorers & Little Rangers Teacher-3s & 2s
8+ years exp.

My name is Hartley and I am the 2’s and 3’s teacher! I’ve had a passion for working with children for as long as I can remember. Even when I was younger, you would often find me skipping Sunday school to help out in our church’s nursery, teaching the kids the ABC’s song. I have over eight years working with elementary aged kids with my K-8 certification and an endorsement in SPED/Neurodivergent. My passion has led me out of the elementary ages and into early childhood development, where learning truly begins. I am passionate about teaching fundamentals in a fun play-based, caring and structured learning environment. The growth within these ages is some of the best there is and I cannot WAIT to see how each year unfolds!

Laura

Explorers Assistant Teacher-3s
7 years exp.

I have always loved serving in the church Children’s ministry, whether it be with teenagers, young children, toddlers or babies. Work with children is SO MUCH FUN! The ages 3’s and 4’s have always been my favorite and as my children grow older I find my heart being drawn to work with preschool age kiddos on a daily basis. I have been blessed to learn from the KKP staff to be a part of this team as an assistant teacher. It is an honor to be a part of our students’ lives and help them grow academically and in their faith.

Jacey

Preschool Assistant
3+ years exp.

My love for teaching began when my own children were homeschooled during the pandemic. I have been blessed to be involved in preschool for the last 3 years- as a parent and then a lead PreK teacher. I enjoy creating a feeling of home for the students, where I get to observe and contribute to them learning and growing every day. I love providing activities that inspire my students’ creativity and imagination. Their little smiles and laughs absolutely make my day!

Safety and Training

All teachers have background checks, and are CPR and First Aid certified. Also, staff participate in ongoing early childhood education training.

About Jen

I’ve spent the last 14 years homeschooling my 5 children. I delight in watching children explore, make discoveries and create as they apply what they are learning. It has been a joy to help teach preschool classes at various homeschool co-ops throughout these 14 years. Within the last 8 years I worked at a private Christian preschool, spent two years directing and teaching my own in-home preschool and the last 4 years directing a local private Christian preschool. What a blessing it was to develop beautiful relationships with children, parents and families as the preschool grew from 6 to 105 students over a 4-year time period. It is with great excitement that I look forward directing to Kingdom Kids Preschool!
